Collagenase AF-1 GMP Grade is derived from C. histolyticum using aproduction process completely free of any animal-based components. Thus,any risk of transmission of potential animal-derived pathogens isexcluded. This highly purified collagenase, often used in combinationwith Neutral Protease AF GMP Grade, is suitable for the dissociation ofsensitive cells from several tissues or organs such as pancreas, liveror tumors. It has been shown to be highly effective for the isolation ofislets of Langerhans from human pancreas intended for transplantation,stromal vascular fraction (SVF) from adipose tissue and tumor cells.
