Hoefer pioneered the vertical format for electrophoresis separations and
continues to offer innovative designs and a variety of choices.
SE
400 series Sturdier vertical units are air-cooled, affordable priced and
run one gel or two, by using a divider plate. SE 400 series units are the
ideal choice for labs requiring many units or applications where temperature
control is not crucial.
Hoefer SE 600 series dual cooled tank-style
vertical units run two or four gels simultaneously at the same temperature
and a maximum of 112 samples when using divider plates. A heat exchanger
suspended in the
buffer tank cools buffer evenly, producing excellent
separations with straight, sharp, well-defined bands.
Separate,
simple-to-use gel casters allow you to cast multiple identical gels at
one time.
A wide variety of well-forming combs and spacers
allows you to tailor gel configurations to your needs.
