Collagenase NB Qualities

Collagenase NB 1 Premium Grade (cat. no. 17455) is a chromatographically highly purified quality. It contains collagenase class I and II and very low levels of proteolytic activities and bacterial endotoxins. This quality is used in isolation of sensitive cells and guarantees high yields and viability. It is especially applicable to isolation of pancreatic islets of Langerhans from different species like human or pig.

Chromatographically purified Neutral Protease NB (cat. no. 30301) is an essential additive for isolation of pancreatic islets and is provided separately allowing individual dosage and high stability of the enzymes.

Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade (cat. no. 17454) displays collagenase class I and class II as well as a balanced ratio of proteolytic activities. It is suitable for mild and effective isolation of a broad variety of cells.

Collagenase NB 4G Proved Grade (cat. no. 17465) possesses an increased collagenase activity compared to Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade and a balanced mix of neutral protease, clostripain and trypsin-like activities.

Collagenase NB 5 Sterile Grade (cat. no. 17459) is distinguished by similar enzymatic properties like Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade, but is manufactured under aseptic conditions according to the European Pharmacopoeia.

Collagenase NB 8 Broad Range (cat. no. 17456) is characterized by an increased collagenase activity and reduced levels of proteolytic activities and bacterial endotoxins.

Good Manufacturing Practice for Cell Isolation

Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade (cat. no. 17452) and Neutral Protease NB GMP Grade (cat. no. 30303) are regarded to be critical raw materials for tissue engineering and transplantation into humans. Thus they are manufactured in compliance with the EU-Guide to current Good Manufacturing Practice “cGMP for active pharmaceutical ingredients”. Moreover the production fulfills the requirements of TSE guidelines according to the European Pharmacopoeia. Their enzymatic properties are comparable to Collagenase NB 1 Premium Grade and Neutral Protease NB, respectively.

Collagenase NB 6 GMP Grade (cat. no. 17458) reveals comparable enzymatic properties to Collagenase NB 4 but is especially suitable for applications which have to meet cGMP requirements like tissue engineering and transplantation into human organisms.
