Dithioerythritol (DTE) is an epimer of Dithiothreitol (DTT) and a reagent for maintaining thiol (SH) groups in the reduced state.
It quantitatively reduces disulfide groups, forming a cyclic disulfide (1, 2, 3). Not hygroscopic.
