AxyPrep™ Blood Genomic DNA Miniprep Kit
4 preps.The AxyPrep™ Blood Genomic DNA Miniprep Kit is suited for purifying up to 12 µg of genomic DNA from 250 µl of anti-coagulated whole blood (or other sources). Genomic DNA is isolated directly from the white blood cells (WBC) component of the whole blood, without the need to first remove the red blood cells (RBCs). The isolation of genomic DNA from blood by this method is based on the efficient release of genomic DNA by a special cell lysis and heme/protein precipitation buffer, coupled with the selective adsorption of the genomic DNA to a special AxyPrep™ column. The purified DNA is predominantly ≥ 30 kb in length, and is suited for a variety of applications demanding highly purified, high molecular weight genomic DNA, such as Southern blot analysis, PCR, etc.
