SERVA BluePrep Cell Lysis Reagent
Cell lysis is accomplished through non-ionic detergent chemical disruption in conjunction with mechanical disruption. The use of a needle and syringe during the procedure helps to reduce viscosity and facilitates purification, producing proteins that are often greater than 95 % pure. This gentle lysis of bacteria is especially suitable for subsequent extraction of inclusion bodies. The extracted inclusion body aggregates can then be solubilized with SERVA BluePrep IB Solvent (cat. no. 42083) to release the recombinant proteins.
