Collagenase NB 8 Broad Range from Clostridium histolyticum

Contains class I and class II collagenase as well as reduced levels of
clostripain, trypsin-like activities and neutral protease. PZ activity
(Wünsch): ≥ 0.9 U/mg Endotoxin: ≤ 100 EU/mg (Ph. Eur.) Suitable
for a broad range of different applications in tissue dissociation such as
isolation of rodent pancreatic islets of Langerhans, porcine hepatocytes,
cardiomyocytes, tumor cells, muscle cells and human osteoblasts. Increased PZ
activity compared to Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade (cat. no. 17454) and
Collagenase NB 4G Proved Grade (cat. no. 17465).
Unit definition: Collagenase: 1 U according to Wünsch (1)
catalyzes the hydrolysis of 1 µmole
4-phenylazobenzyloxycarbonyl-L-prolyl-L-leucylglycyl-L-prolyl-D-arginine per
minute at 25 °C, pH 7.1. Neutral Protease: 1 DMC Unit catalyzes
the cleavage of 1 µmole peptide bond from dimethylcasein per minute at 25 °C,
pH 7.0, expressed in terms of newly formed terminal amino groups, determined
with TNBS. Endotoxin: Ph. Eur. (1 Endotoxin Unit is equal to 1
International Unit of a WHO approved reference standard endotoxin (RSE)).
