A highly purified suspension in 80 % saturated ammonium sulfate. Suitable for
GOT determination in serum. 5 mg correspond to approx. 0.5 ml, 25 mg
correspond to approx. 2.5 ml.
Unit definition: 1 U catalyzes the reduction of 1 µmole oxaloacetate to
malate (oxidation of 1 µmole NADH) per minute at 25 °C, pH 7.4 (1). Extraneous activities: GPT, LDH, GOT, GLDH, CK and fumarase less
than 0.001 %.
