Bio-5000 VIS Gel Scanner
Microtek‘s Bio-5000, performing advanced application in biological laboratory, is perfectly designed for image capture of dry or wet samples of gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, IEF gels, western blotting films, documents and so on. The Bio-5000, presenting greater image quality, has great features including 4800 optical resolution, 48-bit color scanning mode and linearity over 4.0 O.D.
The Bio-5000 gel scanner enables densitometry of gels in transmission mode for reliable quantification of protein amounts in bands and spots. In reflection mode blot membranes and other documents can be scanned in high resolution. The scanner unit is compatible with all advanced image analysis software packages for 1D and 2D gel electrophoresis.
Thanks to the design of the gel scanner, the glass holder can be removed anytime, the glass holder can be cleaned easily. Users can capture images directly from gels handily, no matter the samples are dry or wet for electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, etc. Images are captured with the mechanism designed of Microtek patented Emulsion Direct Imaging Technology (E.D.I.T.).
