Taq DNA Polymerase from Thermus aquaticus
Solution (5 u/µl) in 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 100 mM KCl, 0.5 % Tween 20, 0.1 mM DTT, and 50 % glycerol.
Taq DNA polymerase is a thermo-stable DNA polymerase that possesses a 5’ → 3’ polymerase activity and a double-strand specific 5’ → 3’ exonuclease activity.
Supplied with: 1 ml 10x Taq Reaction Buffer (500 mM Tricine (pH 8.0), 120 mM potassium acetate, 30 mM magnesium sulphate, 0.1 % Triton® X-100, 50 µg/ml BSA (DNA- and RNA- free))
1 ml 10x Taq Reaction Buffer magnesium-free (500 mM Tricine (pH 8.0), 120 mM potassium acetate, 0.1 % Triton® X-100, 50 µg/ml BSA (DNA- and RNA-free)
1 ml Magnesium chloride
Unit definition: One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme that will incorporate 10 nmole of dNTP into acid insoluble material in 30 minutes at 75 °C.
License Notice: The PCR process is the subject of European Patent Nos. 201,184 and 200,262 owned by Hoffmann-LaRoche and licensee Applied Biosystems. These PCR patents expired in March 28, 2006 and the corresponding PCR process patents in the United States expired on March 29, 2005. However some other applications of Taq polymerase may require a license. This depends on the application and it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to ensure that use of the product does not infringe the patent rights of third parties.
