The SERVA BluePrep Urine Concentration Macro Kit provides a fast and simple procedure for the concentration of dilute solutions of urine proteins from large urine volumes. Process up to 4 samples in only 45 minutes. Because urine is more readily and conveniently acquired than blood, urine protein analysis is an attractive alternative to blood plasma as a potential source of disease biomarkers. The ion exchange resin has an inherent low affinity for salt but a high affinity for proteins, providing salt removal and buffer exchange simultaneously. Based on ion exchange mechanism, a broad size range of proteins can be processed.
The final elution is performed with choices of several different buffers suitable for:
