Collagenase NB 6 GMP Grade from Clostridium histolyticum
(Clostridiopeptidase A, Collagenase A) EC 3.4.24.3 • Mr ca. 70 000 - 120 000 (collagenases) • CAS [9001-12-1]
Contains class I and class II collagenase and a balanced ratio of proteolytic
activities. PZ activity (Wünsch): ≥ 0.1 U/mg Microbiological
examination: Sterility, Absence of Clostridia, Abnormal toxicity
(General-Safety-Test; Ph. Eur.). Sterility performed according to Ph. Eur. Manufactured
according to international cGMP guidelines. For applications which have to
meet cGMP requirements like tissue engineering and transplantation. Collagenase
NB 6 GMP Grade is applicable to tissue dissociation such as isolation of human
and rodent hepatocytes, chondrocytes, neuronal and endothelial cells,
fibroblasts, cells from adipose tissue (e.g. ADSC's), stem cells and rodent

Unit definition: 1 U according to Wünsch (1) catalyzes the hydrolysis
of 1 µmole 4-phenylazobenzyloxycarbonyl-L-prolyl-L-leucylglycyl-L-pro
lyl-D-arginine per minute at 25 °C, pH 7.1.
