Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade from Clostridium histolyticum

Contains chromatographically highly purified class I and class II collagenase. Largely
free from clostripain, trypsin-like protease and neutral protease. Vial
contains not less than 2000 PZ U collagenase. PZ activity (Wünsch): ≥
3.0 U/mg Endotoxin ≤ 10.0 EU/mg (Ph. Eur.) Microbiological
examination: Total aerobic microbial count (TAMC), Total combined yeast/moulds
count (TYMC), Absence of Clostridia, Abnormal toxicity
(General-Safety-Test; Ph. Eur.). Manufactured according to international
cGMP guidelines. This highly purified collagenase quality is used in
isolation of sensitive cells and guarantees high yields and viability. In
combination with Neutral Protease NB GMP Grade (cat. no. 30303) Collagenase NB
1 GMP Grade is especially applicable to isolation of pancreatic islets of
Langerhans. Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade is recommended for applications
which have to meet cGMP requirements like tissue engineering and
transplantation into humans.
Unit definitions: Collagenase: 1 U according to Wünsch (1)
catalyzes the hydrolysis of 1 µmole
4-phenylazobenzyloxycarbonyl-L-prolyl-L-leucylglycyl- L-prolyl-D-arginine per
minute at 25 °C, pH 7.1. Endotoxin: Ph. Eur. (1 Endotoxin Unit
is equal to 1 International Unit of a WHO approved reference standard
endotoxin (RSE)).
