Albumin bovine Cohn Fraction V, pH 7.0
Mr ca. 67 000 • CAS [9048-46-8]
A bovine serum albumin which is produced by a modification of the original Cohn fractionation with cold ethanol. It differs in its properties (e.g. in lipid composition) from albumins which are manufactured by other methods such as heat shock precipitation or fractionation with other organic solvents. This may result in a better performance in diagnostic systems or improved growth conditions in cell culture.
